• Candidates claiming reservation must also furnish a Bonafide Himachali certificate in the prescribed format.
• Applicants under the EWS category are required to submit either an Income and Asset Certificate or a valid BPL certificate along with a Non-SC/ST/OBC certificate.
• All the required documents must be issued in the prescribed Himachal Pradesh Government format.

• The application process for HPPSC Naib Tehsildar 2026 is to be completed only through the official HPPSC website. Candidates must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the application form.
• After registration, applicants are required to upload all necessary documents and carefully check the application preview before final submission.
• Candidates must also submit a declaration confirming the clarity and correctness of the uploaded documents.
• Once the application is finally submitted, no changes or edits are permitted.

HPPSC Naib Tehsildar Selection Process 2026: The HPPSC Naib Tehsildar selection process consists of three stages.

• Stage 1: The Screening Test (Preliminary), is an objective-type MCQ examination of 2 hours duration comprising 120 General Knowledge questions, conducted in both Hindi and English. This stage is meant only for shortlisting candidates, and its marks are not counted in the final merit.
• Stage 2: The Main Written Examination, includes papers on General Knowledge and Current Affairs (100 marks), General English (50 marks), English Essay (50 marks), and Hindi (50 marks). Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each paper to qualify.
• Stage 3: The Personality Test (Viva Voce), carries 40 marks, and the final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Written Examination and the Personality Test combined.

Note:

• In the Screening Test, a negative marking of 0.25 marks is applied for each wrong answer. If more than one option is marked for a question, it is treated as an incorrect answer. However, no penalty is imposed for unanswered questions.

• The HPPSC Naib Tehsildar Examination 2026 may be conducted at various centers including Shimla, Mandi, Sundernagar, Kangra, Dharamshala, Palampur, Solan, Una, Nahan, Bilaspur, Kullu, Chamba, and Hamirpur.
• The centers at Reckong Peo and Keylong may also be allotted only if the number of candidates exceeds 100.
• Main Written Examination will be conducted exclusively at Shimla.
• The final allotment of examination centers rests solely at the discretion of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

Admit Card Rules:

• The admit card for the examination must be downloaded only from the official website, as no admit cards will be sent by post.
• Candidates are required to paste a self-attested passport-size photograph on the admit card wherever specified.
• To download the admit card, candidates must log in using their User ID and password.

Reservation Rules:

• Reservation benefits are applicable only to Bonafide Himachali candidates.
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories of other states are treated as General category candidates.
• The recruitment follows vertical reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, while horizontal reservation is provided for Ex-Servicemen, Wards of Freedom Fighters, Persons with Disabilities, and Sports categories.
• The adjustment of merit is carried out based on the relaxations availed by the candidate.

Disqualification Grounds:

• A candidate shall be disqualified if found guilty of furnishing false information or submitting forged documents, impersonation, or using unfair means during the examination. Possession or use of electronic devices inside the examination hall, attempts to influence the selection process, or involvement in criminal conviction shall also lead to disqualification. Candidates who have been dismissed from Government service are likewise ineligible and liable for disqualification.
