Eligibility Criteria for HPPSC HPAS 2026
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Final-year students can apply provisionally but must submit proof of passing later.
- MBBS graduates who have passed the final examination but not completed internship may apply provisionally.

HPPSC HPAS 2026 Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination
- Two objective-type papers:
- General Studies Paper-I (200 marks)
- Aptitude Test Paper-II (200 marks) – qualifying with 33%
- Negative marking of one-third per wrong answer
- Merit for Mains is based only on General Studies Paper-I
- Candidates scoring zero or negative in Paper-I are disqualified
- Main Examination
The Main Examination consists of eight descriptive papers divided into Compulsory Papers and Optional Subject Papers as follows:

Important Rules and Conditions
- No changes are allowed after submitting the Online Recruitment Application, except under permitted category modifications.
- No re-evaluation or re-checking of Prelims or Mains is allowed.
- Misconduct such as false documents, impersonation, or unfair means can result in cancellation of candidature and up to 15 years of debarment.
