ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: The essential educational qualification required is a BA, BSc, BCom, or an equivalent degree recognized by a competent authority. The eligibility cutoff date for possessing the required qualification is 26.02.2026. Any certificate issued after the closing date of the application will not be accepted.

Note:
- Chest expansion of 1½ inches (3.81 cm) is mandatory for male candidates.
- Physical standards apply only for the post of DSP as per Haryana Police Service Rules, 2002.

Major Age Relaxations:
- Candidates belonging to SC or BC categories of Haryana are eligible for an age relaxation of 5 years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are also entitled to a relaxation of 5 years, while PwBD candidates belonging to SC, BC, or EWS categories receive a total relaxation of 10 years, subject to a maximum age limit of 52 years.
- Widows, divorced women, and unmarried women are granted a relaxation of 5 years.
- Ex-servicemen are allowed age relaxation equal to their length of military service plus 3 additional years.
- Haryana Government ad-hoc or contract workers are eligible for relaxation equal to their years of service, with the upper age limit capped at 52 years.

SELECTION PROCESS of HPSC HCS 2026 – THREE STAGES
Stage A — Preliminary Examination (Screening Stage Only):
- The preliminary examination consists of two objective-type papers. Paper I (General Studies) carries 100 marks and is used for merit ranking, while Paper II (CSAT) also carries 100 marks but is qualifying in nature.
- Each paper has a duration of 2 hours and is conducted in Hindi and English.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must secure at least 33% marks in CSAT to qualify.
- The final prelims merit is prepared only on the basis of Paper I, and prelims marks are not counted in the final merit list.
- Approximately 12 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Stage B — Main Written Examination: The Main Examination carries a total of 600 marks and consists of six descriptive papers as follows:
- English — 100 marks, Hindi — 100 marks, General Studies I — 100 marks, General Studies II — 100 marks, General Studies III — 100 marks, and General Studies IV — 100 marks.
Note:
- Qualifying Rules: Candidates must secure an aggregate of 45% marks in the Main Examination, with at least 33% marks in each of English and Hindi
- For PwBD candidates, the aggregate requirement may be relaxed to 35%.
- The medium of answers can be Hindi or English, but mixing both languages in the same paper is not allowed.
Stage C — Personality Test / Viva Voce:
- The Personality Test carries 75 marks.
- Approximately three times the number of vacancies are called for this stage.
- The assessment focuses on the candidate’s suitability for service, judgment, awareness, and leadership qualities.
FINAL MERIT: The final score is calculated by adding the Main Written Examination marks (600) and the Interview/Personality Test marks (75), giving a total of 675 marks.
Note: In case of a tie in the Main Written Examination marks, the older candidate will be given preference.

- Sign the form and upload the signed copy.
