- FSSAI LAUNCHES OFFICIAL VEGAN LOGO TO IMPROVE CONSUMER AWARENESS AND TRANSPARENCY –
- The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced the standardized vegan logo for the approved vegan food products in India. The new logo will become mandatory from 1st July in 2027 and it aims to provide the consumers with a clear and reliable way to identify vegan foods. This move is expected to strengthen transparency, prevent misleading claims and promote the environmentally sustainable food choices in India.
FSSAI Introduces Standard Vegan Logo
- The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has notified the standardized logo that will serve as the official identification mark for the all vegan food products which are sold in India.
- Under the amended Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, all the approved vegan food packages must display the logo in the prescribed format.

India Reaches the Landmark of the 100 Ramsar Sites
- The designation of the Jai Prakash Narayan Bird Sanctuary as a Ramsar Site has elevated the India’s total count of internationally recognized wetlands to the 100.
- This achievement showcases the country’s growing focus on to the wetland conservation and sustainable environmental management.
- This recognition was granted under the Ramsar Convention it is an international treaty which is dedicated to the conservation and the wise use of wetlands.

- RBI MONETARY POLICY MEETING JUNE 2026: REPO RATE UNCHANGED AT 5.25% –
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced its latest monetary policy decisions after the 61st meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) held from June 3 to June 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra.
- Amid rising geopolitical uncertainty, elevated energy prices, global supply chain disruptions, and inflation concerns, the committee decided to maintain the existing policy rate while continuing with a neutral policy stance.
- The decision reflects RBI’s balanced approach of supporting economic growth while remaining vigilant against inflationary risks.
RBI Monetary Policy Meeting June 2026: Key Decisions
- After reviewing domestic and global macroeconomic developments, the Monetary Policy Committee unanimously decided to:
- Keep the Repo Rate unchanged at 5.25%
- Maintain the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) Rate at 5.00%
- Keep the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) Rate at 5.50%
- Continue with the Neutral Policy Stance
- The decision indicates that RBI is currently adopting a wait-and-watch approach before making further adjustments.
